Gretel

I’ve recently diagnosed myself as having severe knitting AD/HD. I’ll start a project with gusto, race through it…and then stall when it’s halfway done. I’ve finished the back and side pieces of a sweater, one of a pair of socks, and one of another pair of socks. I thought it was time I actually finished something.

Ysolda Teague’s beautiful Gretel, worked in Berroco’s Peruvia. I ended up using just a few yards of the second skein. The only modification I made was using a regular rather than tubular cast-on.

I had intended to make the slouchy version, but it was clear about halfway through that with the yarn I was using, the regular would be slouchy enough.

Now I just have to wait another eight months to wear it as it’s already summery in Texas, as the washed out photos show. But one project down, three more UFOs to go.
